Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using Stitch Toolbox. Last updated 10 September 2026.

1. The service

Stitch Toolbox (“the service”) is operated by Allegro Digital (“we”). It lets you open, check, convert and price machine embroidery files in your browser, and, with a Pro subscription, download files the service creates: lettering, batch name drops, resized designs and cleaned-up designs. The free tools run entirely on your device. Pro downloads are built on our servers from the text, settings or stitch file you submit.

2. Accounts and payment

Accounts are created with an email address and a sign-in link; there is no password. Paid plans are sold by Polar Software Inc., our merchant of record, who handle payment, tax and invoices under their own terms. Prices are shown in US dollars; local VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. You can cancel at any time from the customer portal and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in the refund policy.

3. Your files and the output

You keep all rights to the files, text and settings you submit and to every file the service generates from them. Output may be used for personal or commercial purposes, including selling finished items, with no attribution required. Bundled fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0, which permit commercial embroidery; see fonts and licences. Designs you upload to resize, clean or convert must be yours to use; we do not check licences and are not responsible for what you do with someone else's design.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe others' rights, to overload it with automated traffic, to scrape the thread charts or guides for republication, or to bypass the paid features. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. No guarantee of stitch results

A pre-flight verdict, a density number or a resize is a measurement or transformation of the file, not a promise about your machine, fabric, stabiliser or thread. Embroidery outcomes depend on all of those. Test on scrap fabric before a paid job. Where a file the service generated will not run on your machine, the refund policy applies.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as ruined garments, lost sales or lost time.

7. Changes and termination

We may change the service or these terms; material changes are announced on the changelog and by email to subscribers. You may delete your account at any time by writing to us, which removes your download history.
